Mission and Philosophy

We, the community of St. Patrick School, honor our past through a strong dedication to the Gospel message of love, hope, and service to all.  While witnessing the message of Jesus Christ, we empower our students to acquire the knowledge and values needed to prepare them to be active members of society.  With a true spirit of generosity, we nurture the faith formation of each child.  We embrace the diverse learning styles of all students through 21st century teaching practices and integrated technology.  We seek to foster achievement and challenge every student to reach their academic potential to build the future of our changing world. 

We, the community of St. Patrick School, grounded in our Catholic values, facilitate the investigative integration of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Our STEM education promotes the common good and empowers our students to be critical thinkers who are creative, collaborative and morally responsible contributors to the advancement of the global community in order to build the future while honoring our past.

We integrate STEM through the 4 Cs of Practice: Communication, Collaboration, Creativity and Critical Thinking as well as the Engineering Design Process:

ASK: What is the problem? How have others approached it? What are your constraints?

IMAGINE: What are some solutions? Brainstorm ideas. Choose the best one.

PLAN: Draw a diagram. Make lists of materials you will need.

CREATE: Follow your plan and create something. Test it out!

IMPROVE: What works? What doesn't? What could work better? Modify your design to make it better. Test it out!

COMMUNICATE: Share your findings with the community. What have you learned? Where do we go from here?
